+Who is eInvoicePH for — and who is it not for?
It's built for freelancers, professionals, consultants, clinics, agencies, tutors, and small service businesses that need to issue proper Service Invoices without buying a full point-of-sale (POS) system. It is not for shops that need a POS with inventory, barcodes, and a cash drawer, and it is best suited to taxpayers who are not yet required to transmit e-invoices to the BIR's Electronic Invoicing System (EIS). eInvoicePH focuses on creating your BIR-format invoices — the document these businesses issue every day.
+What's the difference between a Service Invoice, a Sales Invoice, and an Official Receipt?
Under the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) law, the Invoice is now the primary document for both goods and services. A Service Invoice is what a service provider issues (a consultant, clinic, or agency). A Sales Invoice covers the sale of goods. The old Official Receipt is no longer the primary document — it now serves only as supplementary proof of payment. eInvoicePH issues Service Invoices, which is what most freelancers and service businesses need.
+What does “BIR-format” or “EOPT-ready” actually mean here?
It means every invoice carries the details the BIR requires — your registered name, TIN, address, a running serial number, itemized services, VAT or Non-VAT treatment, and space for your client's details — laid out in the format prescribed under RR 11-2024 (EOPT). It also produces the sample invoice print-outs you submit when you register your own invoicing system with your RDO — see the next question.
+Does the BIR need to approve my use of eInvoicePH?
You (the taxpayer) remain responsible for registering your invoicing system with your own Revenue District Office (RDO). The good news is that BIR simplified this under RMO 9-2021: software that generates invoices is treated as a component of a Computerized Accounting System, so instead of a long accreditation you register it and receive an Acknowledgement Certificate. Registration typically needs the application form, a sworn statement, and sample invoice print-outs — which eInvoicePH generates for you. Whether and how this applies to your specific setup depends on your BIR registration, so confirm the exact steps with your RDO or accountant.
+How are serial numbers, voids, and reprints handled?
Every invoice gets the next number from a running series, so there are no gaps or duplicates. If you need to cancel an invoice you mark it as VOID — it stays in your records rather than being deleted, which keeps a clean audit trail. Reprints are clearly marked as reprints so the original stays identifiable.
+If I cancel, can I take my data with me?
Yes. Your invoices and records are yours. Before you leave you can export your records to CSV and open or save any individual invoice as a PDF, so nothing is locked in.
+How does the 7-day free trial work?
Every new account starts on a 7-day trial with full access to the invoicing app. Near the end of the trial you'll be prompted to choose a plan and submit your GCash / Maya payment to keep working.
+How do I pay, and how fast is activation?
Payments are made manually via GCash or Maya. You choose a plan, send the exact amount with the reference code in the note, then upload your payment screenshot. We verify it against our records and activate your subscription — usually within one business day.
+What happens when my subscription expires?
A paid subscription that lapses enters a short grace period so you aren't locked out the moment it ends. Renew during the grace window to keep access uninterrupted. After the grace period, the app locks until you renew.
+Can I add my staff?
Yes. On a team account, an Admin or the Owner can generate an invite code from the Team page. Staff sign in, enter the code, and join. Editors can work in the app; Admins can also manage the team and settings. The taxpayer profile and invoice series are restricted to Admins and the Owner.
+Is my data private from other businesses?
Yes. Each account's data is isolated by database row-level security, so no other account can read or change your records. Payment screenshots are stored privately.
+Do I get a receipt for my subscription payment?
Yes. When we approve a payment, a BIR-style acknowledgement receipt is issued automatically. Find it under Receipts in your dashboard, where you can view and print or save it as PDF.
+How do I switch between annual and monthly, or change plans?
Go to Subscription, pick the plan you want, and submit payment for it. Renewals stack on any paid time you have left, so you don't lose days by renewing early.
Compliance note
eInvoicePH helps you create Sales and Service Invoices in the BIR format required under the EOPT law (RR 11-2024). It is invoicing software — a component of a Computerized Accounting System that you register with your own BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) under RMO 9-2021, and it generates the sample print-outs and details you submit. You stay in control of your own BIR registration and the accuracy of what you issue. This page is general information, not tax or legal advice — for your specific situation, please confirm with your RDO or accountant.
